DIRECT TRANSMISSION Direct Contact Droplet Infection Direct Projection of a spray of droplets of saliva and naso-pharyngeal secretions during coughing, sneezing or speaking to the surrounding atmosphere. Eg: Respiratory infections, diphtheria, whooping cough, TB, Meningococcal meningitis.
