GANGLION BLOCKING DRUGS

Trimethaphan and mecamylamine are competitive blockers of ACh at
nicotinic receptors at both sympathetic and parasympathetic ganglia.

Because of lack of selectivity and numerous adverse effects, they are
used rarely in the clinical setting hypertensive emergencies).
