DESCRIPTION: 1) multiple erythematous pustules and papule. 2) open comedon ( black head ) on left cheek.
Note : sometimes there may be a cysts and nodules and also white head comedone if you see it write it .
DDX : 1) rosocea . 2) perioral dermatitis . 3) Pitrosporum folliculitis . 4)
Folliculitis barbae.
RX : 1) General : good hygiene . 2) Topical : antibiotics ( clindamycine and erthyromycine ), tretinoin & tazarotene .
3) systemic : tetracycline and isotretinoin .
Way of examination : clinicaly
Complications of acne: Scarring.

DX : Tinea capitis .
Description : 1) erythematus plaque ( boggy like projection on the scalp ) about 4 * 5 cm . 2) multiple pustule .
3) scanty hair in the area .4) scaly and inflamed scalp .
DDX : 1) alopecia areata .. 2) B. folliculitis . 3) seborrheic dermatitis . 4) abscess.
RX : systemic antifungle ( Griseofulvin and trebinafine )

complication : scared alopecia .

DX : Tinea capitis ( gray pattern )
Description : 1) single or multiple skin patches 4* 5 cm تقريباon the scalp . 2) there is scanty hair in area .
3) broken and lusterless hair . 4) there is a scale ( white or gray ) cover the scalp .
DDX : 1) alopecia areata . 2) psoriasis . 3) trichotillomania . 4) seborrheic dermatitis .
RX : systemic antifungle ( Griseofulvin and trebinafine )

DX : Tinea corporis
Description : 1) Erythematous plaque – well demarcated . 2) large in size on ( . )اذكر المكان

Active border with relatively central healing. 4) coverd by scale .
DDX : 1) Erythema Multiforme . 2) pityriasis rosea . 3) plaque psoriasis .
RX : Topical azoles and Systemic antifungal ( terbinafine )
Way of examination : (KOH) examination of skin scrapings and cultures.
Complication :1) Skin infection from scratching too much . 2) pyoderma .
DX : lichen planus .

Description : 1) multiple plane papule and there is plaque. 2) purple and shiny in colour .
3) pruritic with whitish line in close inspection , 4) on the hand and wrist .
DDx : 1) eczema . 2) psoriasis .
RX : 1) Topical steroids . 2) Systemic steroids , 3)
Antihistamines .
Way of exam : biopsy ………. complication : Skin pigmentation and Erosive lichen planus .
DX : Pityriasis rosea
Description : 1) single oval shape plaque ( herald patch) with multiple papule and macule on the anterior abdomen .
2) covered with scale and well defined . 3) pink in color . 4) describe as mother and daughter lesion .
DDX: 1) secondary syphilis 2). Guttate psoriasis. 3). Tinea corporis
RX : 1) self limited . 2) Oral erythromycin . 3)
Topical steroids.
Way to exam : HX and skin biopsy under microscope …… complication : rash and pruritis .

DX : MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM
Description : 1) multiple small pearly dome shape papule with central umbilication. 2) skin color . 3) well_ defined
DDX : 1) Keratoacanthoma . 2) Verruca vulgaris (warts) . 3) Lichen planus.
Rx : 1) topical salicylic acid . 2) tretinoine cream . 3) manual scraping .
DX : seborrheic dermatitis ( cradle cap ) infant stage .
Description : 1) erythmatus patch or plaque on the forehead covered by greasy yellowish scale . 2) there is a papule .
3) with indistinct area .
DDX : 1) Psoriasis vulgaris.. 2) Dermatophytosis . 3)
Candidiasis.
RX : A. General measures:(( Regular bathing)) .
B. Topical therapy: 1- Scalp shampoos containing 2 % ketoconazole. 2-
Corticosteroids( hydrocortisone ).
C. emollients
Way to exam : clinicaly .

DX : Chronic eczema ( adult ) .
Description : 1) ill defined patches or plaque with skin thickening of skin . 2) eruthmatus on dorsum of RT hand .
3) there is multiple fissure and contain crustation with necrotic tissue .4) with scale .
Rx : 1) avoid scratching and sweating . 2) topical and systemic steroid . 3) anti histamine
Way of exam : family history ( ashma or allergic rhinitis) and clinical examination and Immunoglobulin E reactivity.
DX : acute eczema ( atopic dermatitis ) in infant .
Description : bilateral erythmatus plaque on the cheek , well defined slightly wet (ozey).
DDX : 1) Ichthyosis 2) Seborrheic dermatitis
RX : 1) topical mild steroid and emollient . 2) Vaseline . 3) antihistamine
Complication : bacterial and viral ( h simplex ) infection .

DX : scalp psoriasis
Description : 1) an erythmatus plaque well defined on the occipital part of the scalp and the forehead .
2) covered by white chalky scale with hair loss on the area of lesion .
RX : 1) Scale must be removed first . 2) tar and salicylic acid (e.g., T/Gel). 3) Steroid gels (e.g., fluocinonide gel).
DX : ATOPIC DERMITITS (childhood ) .
Description : an erythmatus plaque well circumscribe on the flexor area of elbow with some papule and
exaggeration of skin mark .
DDx : 1) Allergic Contact Dermatitis . 2) Plaque Psoriasis
RX : Topical corticosteroids.

Dx : chronic atopic dermatitis
Description : well defined hyper pigmented plaque large in size on the anticubital fossa with exaggerated skin mark ,
,thickening of the skin and covered with white scale .
DDX : plaque psoriasis
Rx :
Do not scratch, Topical steroid ,
Systemic steroid and Tacrolimus, tar, phototherapy.
