Innervation of the palate
• Greater palatine nerve supplies gingiva, mucous membrane and glands of the hard palate posterior to canines.
• Nasopalatine nerve supplies mucous membrane of ant part of hard palate.
• Lesser palatine supply soft palate.
• Sensory nerves of the palate are branches of the maxillary nerve, which branch from the pterygopalatine ganglion.

Vasculature Of Palate
• Palate has a rich blood supply.• Chiefly from the greater palatine artery (hard palate) on each side posterior to canines, a branch of the descending palatine artery.
• Lesser palatine artery, a branch of the descending palatine artery, supply soft palate.
• Sphenopalatine artery (Nasopalatine artery is the terminal branch of the Maxillary artery), supply hard palate anterior to canines.
